House Manager

Frensham, Surrey

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the group standards are met at all times through venue presentation and all customer communications
  • Full management of the customer experience including hosting, managing complaints and escalating where necessary
  • Progressing the site to ensure future development and working with the Head of Events (HOE) and wider senior management team to develop new products
  • Proactive sales focus to ensure the highest conversion rates from enquiries, including hosting viewings
  • Weekly sales reporting
  • Team leadership, training and support
  • Organising the team rotas
  • Overseeing all internal departments
  • Day to day management including building suppliers, for example: cleaning, laundry, security, staffing
  • Liaising with the Property Manager to ensure the building / site compliance is up to date
  • Identifying and escalating maintenance issues and dealing with these where necessary
  • Working with the HOE to source, support and develop customer supplier relationships
  • Working with the HOE to organise and oversee internal events and ensuring they are delivered to a high standard
  • Hosting weddings and events
  • Hosting weekly meetings with our catering partner, Kalm Kitchen, and working with the team to deliver exceptional weddings and events
  • Collating, allocating and submitting supplier invoices to accounts on a monthly basis
  • Supporting the Revenue Manager in achieving monthly budget targets
  • Working with the HOE on Marketing plans to ensure revenue growth and industry progression

 

Skills:

  • 3 years experience in senior management position, ideally venue/assistant manager role
  • Highest level understanding of exceptional customer service and high-end hosting
  • Strong background in luxury functions and events
  • Experience leading all departments within the hospitality sector
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Proven record of working to budgets

 

Package:

  • Salary from £35,000
  • Achievement led bonus
  • Holiday allowance of 31 days (inclusive of bank holidays)
