Senior Sales & Marketing Manager

Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the group standards are met at all times through venue presentation and all customer communications
  • Full management of the customer experience including hosting, managing complaints and escalating where necessary
  • Progressing the site to ensure future development and working with the Head of Events (HOE) and Operations Manager (OM) in order to develop new products
  • Proactive sales focus to ensure the highest conversion rates from enquiries, including hosting viewings
  • Weekly sales reporting
  • Team leadership, training and support
  • Organising the team rotas
  • Coordinating all internal departments
  • Recruitment and team training
  • Identifying and escalating maintenance issues and dealing with these where necessary
  • Working with the HOE to source, support and develop customer supplier relationships
  • Working with the HOE to organise and oversee internal events and ensuring they are delivered to a high standard
  • Hosting weddings and events
  • Collating, allocating and submitting supplier invoices to accounts on a monthly basis
  • Supporting the OM in achieving monthly budget targets
  • Working with the HOE on Marketing plans to ensure revenue growth and industry progression


Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior management position,
  • Highest level understanding of exceptional customer service and high-end hosting
  • Strong background in luxury functions and events
  • Experience leading all departments within the hospitality sector
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Proven record of working to budgets
  • Strong knowledge of the planning
  • Self-starter who will be willing to lead by example
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail



  • Salary £28-32k per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Achievement led bonus
