Commis Chef

Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire

Responsibilities

  • Prepping for upcoming events under direction of senior Chefs,
  • Cooking and preparing elements for dishes for daily weddings, ensuring each plate delivered is to the same high standard as the last
  • Breakfast and evening food responsibilities in the absence of senior Chefs
  • Ensuring open line of communication between all kitchen and FOH team
  • To participate in the HACCP procedures according to the company’s Food Safety Management
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking
  • Help to ensure all kitchen surfaces remain clean and sanitised, and helping to ensure portion control and waste management

 

Requirements

  • Proven relevant experience (2+ years)
  • Ability to spot and report problems quickly
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to cope under pressure, in a calm and efficient manner ensuring deadlines are met
