Head of Events - Dearborn Estates

Dearborn Estates – the property company behind private-hire houses Kin House, LIMEKILN, Millbridge Court and Hyde House – is seeking a Head of Events to lead and inspire our onsite teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience, from initial enquiry through to the event day. This is a proactive role, which requires excellent attention to detail and a keen understanding of the luxury hospitality industry. The successful candidate will have experience in high-end corporate hospitality, including a knowledge of venue sales, show rounds and the planning process across a range of events including weddings, corporate and private stays. A positive and process-driven attitude are paramount for this position, as is the ability to multi-task and use initiative. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be the first point of contact for our event planning and delivery across the Dearborn group, and the right candidate will lead by example to guide and nurture our on-site teams to deliver a best-in-class guest experience.
The role is primarily based in Surrey, with regular travel required to London and all venues in the group.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversight and management of all venue planning and event production, actively working with clients and teams from booking through to event day delivery with meticulous planning and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Actively working with clients throughout their planning process, answering emails, calls and hosting meetings.
- Being an energetic and warm host, from first point of contact.
- Assisting with sales and enquires and hosting viewings where required.
- Excellent knowledge of our products and services, including drinks packages, menus and upsells for each venue.
- Full knowledge of the end-to-end client experience.
- Leading the on-site planning teams and being the first point of contact for questions and queries.
- Consistently seeking ways to improve and enhance the planning and event production experience and upholding this standard across the group.
- Regularly meeting with on-site teams to develop and improve guest experience.
- Curating exceptional client relationships with trust and excellent communication.
- Sales enquiry process and having an awareness of the guest journey at each venue ensuring we sell appropriately
- Working with the Head of Operations to deliver training to teams in line with brand standards.
- Proactively seeking new ways to deliver exceptional planning and event production and forward thinking to ensure we are always ahead.
Requirements:
- Excellent administration skills and an eye for detail are essential
- Management experience essential
- Proven experience in a 5* service environment
- Proactive attitude and ability to work across multiple teams and clients
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Proficient in MS Office
- Driving license
- Experience in Tripleseat beneficial but not essential
Package:
- Holiday allowance of 23 days (plus bank holidays)
- An additional day off on your birthday plus birthday voucher
Hours
- 45 hours across a 5-day week including weekends and evenings on a rota basis
